The reality is anyone can do it and get it done. But will it be done right? For the past 25 years we have successfully removed over 100+ pools between our Illinois and Colorado operations. You could say we have learned a lot along the way, and we would love to share out pool removal experiences with you.
You know you pool needs come out. But you’re not sure who the right contractor is? Here are a few key questions to ask.
How heavy are the machines they are using?
Mack Land, LLC uses low impact 8,000 lbs. excavators as much as possible to reduce machine vibrations next to structures. 20,000 – 30,000 lbs. excavators are risky business operating in close proximity to residential structures. Think about your foundation, brick masonry, and do you really want your neighbors to feel heavy equipment vibrations during your pool removal? (Mack Land, LLC use big machines only when necessary, mainly in Colorado).
Are you getting the right fill dirt?
Mack Land, LLC will find the right dirt source from residential sites only. Mack Land, LLC inspects all fill dirt on site for structural fill quality, visually and with our nose. We make sure there are no suspicious chemical smells. Pool removals are a great opportunity for shady truckers to get rid of bad dirt that nobody else will take.
How will the job be left?
Mack Land, LLC will leave the job site like a professional landscaper would. It may seem cheaper to have one company remove the pool and a landscaper restore the lawn. Cleaning up a job site and restoring the lawn properly, addressing all issues that should be addressed is usually a lot of work. We strive to make your pool removal a turnkey process.
Will my pool removal be done right?
Mack Land, LLC is a landscape architecture firm and we will do the code research to make sure your pool removal is done per local codes and ordinances. We provide all necessary drawings for permitting. This is what makes us stand out. We will advise you as a professional landscape architect on items such as grading, drainage, and additional restoration options.
